Another UI designer produced this mockup based on my wireframe and creative direction.
This project was a brief study and proposal to a global industrial corporation which had limited effectiveness in ensuring workplace efficiency and employee safety due to antiquated documentation and communication methods. It seemed prudent to my client, Accenture, to propose digital methods on a windows tablet application to allow downstream facility maintenance engineers to have accurate documentation in digital format in situ and be able to video chat securely with their colleagues elsewhere on the large facilities without having to walk acres back to a central office.
I produced this storyboard wireframe, along with 9 other storyboards of 3-9 wireframes each.
I worked with two other designers and a project manager with engineering consultants familiar with the corporation’s methods and requirements. It was a fascinating honor to consider designing for this corporation, one of the largest in the world.
I produced storyboard wireframes for nine stories, as well as wireframes, axure prototypes with another UX designer, and
art directed the windows 8 and functional requirements with a
talented graphic designer.

These three user personas identified the primary users and served as a metric for ensuring our designs optimized our client’s staff operations.

These two screen comps demonstrate the field engineer’s ability to review the maintenance history of a component in the field from her tablet, as well as review the work order and communicate with her field supervisor in real time.
